Yesterday morning I started my day with my morning ritual of login into MyYahoo to check my email and news. But, I was stopped cold with an “Invalid Password” error. I tried several times to get back in and to reset my password, but nothing worked. I was doom! The email address that I have been using for almost 10 years was now locked up tight and I was feeling way freaked about it.

I spent the rest of the day trying to get back in or to get an email from Yahoo support that was not some automatic response, but nothing was working out for me. Finally, late last evening, I was able to get a reset password email and log back in. I wish I knew why this happened, but I don’t and only have guesses to help me move beyond that horrible day.

We rented the movie Elf this weekend. What a great movie. If you haven’t seen it then do so now. The snowball fight scene is the best.

My other excitement for the weekend had to do with working on the house. We live in an older house and the windows definitely are showing their age. So, I spent an afternoon covering some of the windows with plastic. When I was shopping for the plastic I got pretty excited about the fact that it now came with a little tape dispenser. That’s right, I got excited over plastic window covers with a tape dispenser. But hey, that crazy little roll of double sided tape can be a pain to work with and any tool that makes it easier is just peachy in my book.

Anyway, putting the plastic up wasn’t too exciting or difficult. Oh, and the tape dispenser that came with is reusable, so I guess I’ll just store that thing away for next year incase I pick up a box without one.

I also figured out a little trick. The hair dryer just wasn’t getting hot enough to tighten things as quickly as I liked. So, I took a rag and covered about half of the air intake on the back of the dryer. By doing this it allowed the air to remain hotter coming out of the gun. Now for a word of caution. This trick makes the air flow considerably hotter, so I can’t imagine it’s good for the hair dryer to do this for a very long period of time or to completely cover the intake. Especially if it’s your wife’s hair dryer.

We went to a local christmas tree farm today and cut down a tree. You know, every year I am always so excited to go cut down a tree and somehow I always forget how much work it is until I’m down there on the ground sawing away.

Besides the fact that I had to put in some physical labor we had a really nice time at the farm. They had horses, ducks, chickens, peacocks, and a big cat. Quincy loved seeing all the animals and throwing snow balls at me.

Well, I’ve finally set up a blog. I’ve also set up an account with flickr, so that I can post images too. Hopefullly someone besides myself will find this interesting.
