I have been a vegetarian for almost 8 years now… that is until this past weekend.
Deciding to go back to the status of a meat eater wasn’t easy for me. It has been something I been pondering for a long time. And my reason for this change has to do with fitness. I really want to get in shape and I believe a balance of protein and carbs is the answer (along with regular exercise). Now I know that one can get enough protein as a vegetarian, but it takes a lot more food prep work and no matter how hard I tried I just could never make the time on a regular basis. I would do good one week and horrible the next few weeks. Eating meat protein is just so much more convenient. So, for now I am back on the meat.
I have also started a new workout and eating program called “Body for Life“. I have only been doing it for a few days, but so far I feel really good. Hopefully in a few months I will be in good shape and the meat will be worth it.
