Quincy had his 4 year checkup yesterday with Dr. Summers. He had to get a shot, but mommy said he did great. No crying, just a quick ouch. His stats are 44 inches tall and 44 pounds. Health, happy, and handsome.
Over Memorial Day weekend we celebrated Quincy’s 4th birthday. Friends and family from both sides came to our house for food and fun. Quincy got all the superhero toys he had been wanting, except for the Spiderman and Venom set. But, he used this birthday money to buy that the next day. We also had a Peter Pan pinata. The hitting order started with Quincy and then progressed from youngest to oldest. Well, the oldest was our 12 year old niece Ashlynn. Lets just say that she was the only one to do any damage to poor old Peter and also was the last. She went right for the head and did him in.

I started my new job at Cars.com yesterday. So far so good. It was a little overwhelming meeting so many people. And the floor layout is like a labyrinth. It’s all I can do not to get lost on a regular basis, but I’m quickly getting use to it. By the end of the week I will probably have no problems.
There was also a little problem with my computer setup. I don’t have any graphic design software. They had a little snag in the ordering of the software, but we hope to have in and installed in the next couple days. Now I just have to learn what exactly I do there. That’s the fun part.
Well my new pride and joy arrived this week. The Audiovox 5600 smartphone! I sold off all my PocketPC PDA gear and purchased a smartphone. I am on a mission to carry less stuff with me whenever possible. So, combining my PDA and phone was one good way to active that goal. So far I’m extremely happy with it. I’ve got it all loaded up with custom applications and pretty much have it tweaked to the way I want it. I still have a few things to learn about getting around the OS, but it’s only a matter of time before I’ve mastered it.
It has a photo caller id application which will display a photo with the callers name. I guess I still need to take photos of friends and family, so I can assign them to their address book entry. And now that I will always have a half way decent camera with me maybe I’ll start putting more images in my posts.
