Being picked up from the train by my wife and son everyday has had some advantages. For example, if Quincy is sleepy we can take the “long way home” and he will usually fall asleep in the car. Once he’s asleep there’s no waking him up, so Mahra and I end up with the evening to hang out or get a few things done. For awhile now we have been wondering when Quincy will notice we are driving in circles and ask why.

Well, lastnight, on the way to pick me up he ask Mahra if we could go home the same way they came to get me. Now I’m not sure if he was starting to put two and two together or maybe he just wanted to see something they passed on the way to the train station. Either way it seems he is starting to become aware of the routes we take when driving in the car.

It won’t be long before we are called out and are no longer able to take the “long way home.”
