Mahra just informed me that Maggie has rolled over from her back to her stomach for the first time. Wow!
A couple of the guys I grew up with just informed me that they are expecting additions to their families soon. Bugos then pointed out the interesting pattern in which the guys have had kids. Riley, Bugos, Ward, Stevens, Stevens, Ward, Bugos, Riley. He’s also determined to figure out how he can claim this pattern is an omen for something to come. Good luck with that one, Bugos. And congratulations to the Bugos and Riley families on their upcoming babies.
For a few weeks now I have been secretly rebuilding an old PC with plans to give it to Quincy so that he can create stop animation on it. Well, we give it to him today and he was beside himself. Once he gets the hang of it I’ll have to post a movie or two.
Today Maggie learned how to blow a raspberry. Mahra said she has been doing them all day. It’s very very cute.
My friend, Kevin, has tagged me for a blog meme. This one is “8 random things about myself”.
1. Until the last year or so of high school I went by my middle name, Shane. Once my good friends found out my first name was Ward, they took it and ran with it. Once I was in college it was just too much effort to ask all of my teachers to call me by my middle name, so I officially became Ward.
2. During the summer of 1991 I joined the army with plans to fly helicopters. Near the end of basic training I got sick, pucked up blood, and was discharged with a perforated peptic ulcer. In hind sight, it’s probably best that it didn’t work out. I don’t think I would have liked being in the army much.
3. I love tomatoes on my grilled cheese & ketchup in my mac & cheese.
4. When I was a kid I wanted to be either a veterinarian or a marine biologist. But who didn’t?
5. I can’t say the word lozenge. No matter how hard I try it just won’t come out right. My wife finds great entertainment in this fact.
6. I was a vegetarian for about 8 years. A couple years ago I started eating meat again. A couple months ago I stopped eating meat again. I guess I’m currently a vegetarian.
7. I really really really hope that the rumors about Google making a smartphone are true.
8. I really don’t like raspberries. But my wife, who LOVES raspberries, always insists on offering me a bit of any raspberry dish she eats. Oh I love that woman.
